Chip maker Intel last week finally rounded out its X86 product line with full 64-bit memory and processing capabilities as it launched the "Potomac" and "Cranford" variants of the Xeon MP processors. AMD Readies Pacifica Spec, Hires IBM System Expert

Chip maker Advanced Micro Devices held a meeting with developers in Austin, Texas, last week and unveiled some of the key features of the company's forthcoming "Pacifica" processor virtualization technology.
