Hi all,
Some of you have offered to help w/ the NWCLUG Linux Fest. Thank you for this. We need to organize this event. There's a lot for us to do.
Things we need to do:
Find others to help us out w/ the items below
setup the rooms before the fest on Saturday and Sunday
bring hardware
bring software
help w/ questions and installs during the fest
do presentations during the fest
have machines setup w/ linux and linux apps for others/users to use
promote, spread the word, send out emails, fliers, etc.
contact vendors and others in the linux arena to present technical talks
I have worked with Harper to get rooms. The date we have is 11/14/04. Currently the rooms we have are A236, A238 and A242.

cleanup after the fest
I've been told we should categorize the presentations and setups so that all are not bringing the same things. Some categories are:
games, desktop functions, graphics, networking and dialup, ???
Is there anything else that I'm missing?
If you can help please send an email to nwclugfestadm@harpercollege.edu w/ what you can do to help.
If you know anyone else that might be willing to help please send this to them.
We will have a social meeting on 9/21/04 where we can talk to others about this. We should try to get as much done asap. I have posted the linuxfest on the meeting page. Please check it out. Let me know if
you have any thoughts, ideas, etc that could help out.
